Meet Linda

Lead Interior Designer

My History

In some cases the apples don’t fall far from their trees.  My father was a contractor for residential, commercial and municipal projects.  So from an early age, I learned about blueprints and a scale rule.  I rode with my dad to jobs and got to know the carpenters and bricklayers.

I observed pride in their precision every day.  Our family moved in the early 60’s into dad’s new brainchild: a home outfitted with a new kind of family-fun space: an indoor swimming pool!  It caught the attention of local builders and magazines alike.  Life was good and I continued to ride along and learn, until the time came for me to formally enroll for a design degree.

Our Philosophy

When I started my company, I had been professionally immersed in the design industry for almost twenty years.  I had worked for small and medium studios as well as a highly structured Fortune 10 company.

The vision for my company encompassed a fundamental purpose to build a design practice that was nimble and able to offer personal and exacting design remedies.  MarketPlace Designs would draw from the vast world of products, materials and expertise from corporate, residential, marine and hospitality industries.  To that, my name is attached only as an editor.
